Board of Assessors hears seven property abatement applications

LONGMEADOW — Board of Assessors hears seven real estate abatement applications. Principal Assessor Maria T. Cataldo presented recommendations on properties from Inverness Road to Barrington Road while homeowners addressed the board on valuations, comparable sales, and property condition.
One application for Dwight Rd LLC was tabled unanimously to allow Cataldo to request additional documentation from the third-party appraiser on the capitalization rate methodology. The board's next meeting is March 27, 2026.
