Community Preservation Committee approves five of six FY2026 projects

Longmeadow Community Preservation Committee approves five of six FY2026 applications totaling $396,015. Chair Steve Weiss led the panel through a public hearing on six applications requesting $422,814. The committee approved Community Pools Amenities Improvement ($180,000, reduced from the initial request), Storrs House Museum Collections Preservation ($15,015), Bliss Park Clay Courts Renewal ($71,000), Home Modification Fund ($125,000), and Longmeadow Arboretum on the Green Phase 1 ($5,000, subject to Historic District Commission approval).

The Grassy Gutter Field Seating Improvement application was held pending supplemental information on bleacher installation and ADA accessibility.
