LONGMEADOW — Conservation Commission approves invasive-species contract, continues Country Club hearing. The Commission unanimously approved a $3,617 proposal from East Meadow Enterprise for bittersweet removal and herbicide stem treatment along Anthony Road at the Riverfront Conservation Area, with Chair John Bresnahan and Member David Dumais supporting the motion. Separately, the Commission heard a proposal from Longmeadow Country Club to remove 45 trees from resource areas near its golf greens; Members Patrick Carnahan, Carly Picard, and Andrea Chasen requested an arborist report, restoration plan, and site visit before proceeding, and the hearing was continued to March 11, 2026.
