Conservation Commission issues Order of Conditions for brook repairs

Conservation Commission · Meeting of January 14, 2026

Longmeadow Conservation Commission issues Order of Conditions for Raspberry Brook repairs. Chair John Bresnahan led approval of infrastructure work on Longmeadow Street designed to address ongoing slope erosion, including three new catch basins and improved culvert structures, approved 4-0-1 with Member Richard Bontempo abstaining. DPW Director Sean Van Deusen explained that while the work addresses urgent erosion concerns, full culvert replacement would require multiple years of competitive grant funding.

The Commission also issued determinations in separate 5-0 votes allowing a 12-by-25-foot pool installation at 84 Magnolia Circle and tree removals at 384 Longmeadow Street.
