LONGMEADOW — Energy committee plans Plastic People awareness workshop with state officials. The Energy and Sustainability Committee met virtually on February 12, approving November and December 2025 meeting minutes with votes of six in favor and one abstention each. The committee is organizing the Plastic People workshop for February 25, featuring panelists Susan Waite of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and committee member Matt Casale, with committee member Andrea Chasen having already been interviewed by the Reminder.
Andrea Chasen and Bryant Miller were tasked with developing a timeline for the long-range plan's specialized stretch code component, as the town and Pioneer Valley Planning Commission have yet to respond to requests about bringing the plan to Town Meeting.
