Housing Authority discusses production plan, seeks affordable housing solutions
Housing Authority · Meeting of January 22, 2026
Longmeadow Housing Authority discusses production plan with focus on affordability and public-employee housing. The Authority met with four members — Timothy Sheehan, Sanjiv Reejhsinghani, Nancy Keeley-Maree, and David Marinelli — to review the Housing Production Plan framework developed with the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission. Members outlined priorities including expanding outreach to non-residents priced out of local markets and accommodating housing needs of public employees and essential workers.
Reejhsinghani asked whether privately owned rentals using Section 8 vouchers or RAFT funding would count toward the town's 10 percent affordable housing target. The Authority approved prior minutes unanimously and set the next meeting for March 25.
