Longmeadow Select Board designates two dogs as nuisances after public hearing. The Board ordered their owners to install a six-foot stockade fence by May 1, 2026, enter a fence-company contract by March 20, and license both dogs by month-end, with threatened civil action for violation. In separate business, the Board established 20 mph school zones on Bliss Road and Hopkins Place at St.
Mary's Academy and other town locations recommended by the Traffic and Roads Advisory Group. The Board also appointed Marty Lee Caramante as the 2026 Animal Control Officer. Scantic Valley Health Trust approved an 11.2 percent health insurance increase, adding $529,285 to the town's prior-year cost.
