LONGMEADOW — Planning Board approves Mongillo appointment, reviews long-range plan progress. Cheryl Thibodeau's Planning Board unanimously appointed Antonietta Mongillo to the Future Use of Town Buildings Taskforce. Associate Planner Dean Syed and Assistant Town Manager Michael Barbieri presented long-range plan updates covering infrastructure upgrades, municipal composting, fleet electrification, Housing Production Plan revisions, Floodplain Bylaw passage, transit advocacy, permitting streamlining, fiber expansion, and Town Hall Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility improvements.
Committee liaisons reported a fall Community Preservation Committee funding opportunity, an Energy and Sustainability film screening on microplastics, and Middle School Building Committee progress toward final construction drawings. The board deferred November meeting minutes, Sign Bylaw changes, and an ADU Design Guidelines working group appointment.
