LONGMEADOW — Rules Committee elects John Quinlan as chair to lead town meeting preparations. The Longmeadow Rules Committee unanimously elected John Quinlan as Chair and Secretary to oversee readiness for the May 2026 Annual Town Meeting. The reconstituted committee identified seven potential bylaw modifications for future consideration, including updates to open meeting law compliance, electronic voting integration, and gender-neutral language.
Meridia, the town's electronic voting vendor, will conduct a technical walkthrough on February 3 to assess requirements for voting synchronization across multiple spaces if attendance exceeds gymnasium capacity, with members Larry Starr and John Quinlan observing.
