Select Board adopts natural hazard mitigation plan

Longmeadow Select Board unanimously adopts comprehensive natural hazard mitigation plan after four years of community planning. The Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan 2024 received FEMA approval in May 2026, concluding a process initiated by a Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency notice in November 2022 and incorporating community planning meetings and public review throughout 2023 and 2024. The Board voted unanimously on three separate matters, also approving the Town Manager Budget Task Force scope and directing Town Manager Lyn Simmons to request a solar credit cash out from Eversource.

Clerk Andrew Lam was absent; four board members were present for all votes.
