Select Board approves four appointments, sets annual meeting

Longmeadow Select Board unanimously approves four appointments and sets May 12 meeting date. The board appointed Elliott Greenberg to the Board of Health, Elizabeth Marinelli to the Cultural Council, and Danielle Aldrich to the Zoning Board of Appeals for three-year terms expiring June 30, 2028 and 2026. The board set the Annual Town Meeting for May 12, 2026, and the Annual Town Election for June 2, 2026.
Town Manager Lyn Simmons reported on the MSBA Accelerated Repair Project for Center School roof, estimated at $7.2 million, with the town expected to fund about $4.2 million based on preliminary 42 percent MSBA reimbursement, tentatively scheduled for summer 2027.
