LONGMEADOW — Select Board votes to order dangerous dog euthanized after unprovoked attack and threats. Following a public hearing with sworn testimony from Animal Control Officer Marty-Lee Caramante, the board voted 5-0 to declare a dog named Sassy dangerous and ordered its euthanasia. The dog attacked a resident unprovoked and threatened numerous others.
Board Member Andrew Lam noted no alternative remedies could ensure neighborhood safety. In other business, the board approved three one-day liquor licenses and unanimously delegated the Article VII fiber presentation to Ben Brown for the May 12 Town Meeting.
