Future Building Use Task Force · Meeting of September 9, 2026
LONGMEADOW — The Future Building Use Task Force discussed fiscal constraints and outlined its path to final recommendations on municipal buildings. Finance Director Ian Coddington reported budgeted debt service of $9,946,721 and noted that both key debt metrics will exceed policy limits starting fiscal 2028, constraining the town's borrowing capacity. The task force discussed potential recommendations to hire a Town Planner and commission a feasibility study of the Community House and municipal complex.
A resident survey launches this week through mid-October, with a public forum on September 12 at Longmeadow High School and Pride Event tabling on September 13.
