LONGMEADOW — The town received a $5 million MassWorks Infrastructure Grant, the largest in Longmeadow's history, when Town Manager Lyn Simmons announced the award to the Select Board, noting it would fully fund public infrastructure improvements for commercial development at Redford, Bliss, and Williams Streets. The board unanimously approved Conservation Commission appointments for David Dumais to a 3-year term and Jennifer Falcone to a 1-year non-voting associate term, along with Halloween street closures and the November 2026 State Election warrant and early voting schedule. The Storrs Library presented a scaled-back renovation strategy, setting aside its $14.8 million bond request in favor of a phased approach initially targeting $2 million in exterior repairs beginning in 2027.
