Longmeadow High School Golf Wins Western Mass Championship Title

HIGH SCHOOL -- At the October 19 Select Board meeting, board member Dr. Andrew Lam congratulated the Longmeadow varsity golf team for winning the Western Mass Championship "in dominating fashion," calling the team "incredibly good" and expressing hope for "a great run at State." Lam credited coach Steve Zicalella for his work with the program, noting it includes both boys' and girls' golfers.
TOWN -- The town is collecting resident input through the Bliss Clay Court Survey, with a deadline of October 29, on the future of the Clay Tennis Court area at Bliss Park. According to the Select Board, the study includes a technical and environmental assessment of the site and will weigh resident preferences alongside cost and operational analysis; the board emphasized that "no outcome has been predetermined."
